Face Yourself: Myspace Riffs, Drop Tuned Chaos, French Fury.
Face Yourself crawled out of the internet wreckage in 2023 and hit like a brick through a basement window. Think Myspace era riffs warped through drop tuned chaos, breakdowns that rattle teeth, and lyrics that swing between socially pissed off and painfully self aware. The lineup is scattered across New York, Jersey, Colorado, and France, but it is vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux who drags the whole thing into the red, snarling with a French edge that cuts through the noise. Three DIY EPs dropped in the same year set the pace, and by 2025 they had locked arms with Sumerian Records, forcing the deathcore scene to take notice.

Ghost ghosted his own show because of food poisoning.
Ghost had to cancel the first of three Mexico City shows after Tobias Forge went down with food poisoning. The September 23 date at Palacio De Los Deportes was scrapped, but the next two nights are still on.
The band also announced a 10th anniversary edition of Meliora, out October 17. The deluxe 2xLP comes with 15 tracks, color vinyl, and a commemorative Papa III Mummy Dust buck. Pre-orders are live now.

Spotify moves to fight AI abuse.
Spotify just rolled out new protections to keep artists safe from AI spam and voice cloning. Over 75 million fake tracks have already been removed in the past year, and new rules now block unauthorized vocal impersonations. The platform is also testing a music spam filter and backing industry standards for AI credits, so listeners know when AI is in the mix. Check out their full statement here.
